Purpleheart (Peltogyne spp.) wood is a highly durable, dense, and rigid exotic hardwood from Central/South America, renowned for its distinct, vibrant purple color. 

These pieces was specifically warmed in the recent (very elusive) Oregon sunshine to bring out the vibrant color and then UV sealed to maintain color as long as possible. The purple color is natural not a stain.
